Non-Treat Valentine Ideas
I have a preschooler and it seems like every class party is the same – we end up with a bag full of treats, most that he doesn’t like because he doesn’t like chocolate. Crazy right? And when he gets sugar at school, he seems to think that means he gets to eat it all that same day. It’s really fun trying to tell him that his Christmas candy actually has to last all of Christmas break, not that he can eat it all at once. It’s been a fun learning process. So this year we’re not doing treats for Valentine’s Day. I know he will still get some, and that’s perfectly fine. I actually expect it. But we’re not going to do candy Valentines – we’re going to do fun Valentines instead. I went through Pinterest and Google and put together a list of what I thought were the most fun printable valentines out there. Printable meaning you can just click on the link below, go to the site, and print out the valentines right from there. And fun because they all come with some sort of toy, game, or activity that kids can do with the valentine. The fun aspect may be as simple as a toy dinosaur to play with (my son would love that!) or as fun as an actual maze that kids can actually do. I mean my blog is about making life fun right, so might as well make our Valentine’s Day cards fun too!
